Fried Tempura Prawns

These prawns are delicious! Perfect as a starter, snack or even a meal, these prawns are easy to prepare and are tasty as hell!

You will need:

  • 6 large prawns
  • ½ cup of tempura flour
  • Iced water
  • A plate for coating
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lime wedges

 

Method:

  • Mix the prawns with a pinch of salt and keep aside for 5 min.
  • Take a bowl and mix the flour with the ice water.
  • Beat it slowly till it becomes a liquid batter.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan on high heat.
  • Dip the prawns first in the dry flour then in the batter and fry them till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with some lime wedges
