Simple Ways To Deal With Anxiety In Daily Life

With this being the case therefore, you will want to know how you can deal with anxiety on a daily basis. For starters, you should opt in for natural products and supplements for an extra edge to reaching your goals, you can buy it here for example.

Also, don’t hesitate to seek the help of a professional if you need to help. If you are apprehensive about a face to face meeting, here are many online psychiatrists available who will be able to guide and support you.

In addition to that, you can also do the following.

Mind-Break

Basically, allow a time in your daily schedule where your mind just goes blank or as close to blank as possible. No, no, this isn’t where your mind shatters and you go coo-coo. A few minutes will do. Think of something nice or relaxing. You could also think of things that are unrelated to your work.

The reasons for this are:

  • So your mind has a chance to rest
  • So you won’t think of anything stressful, thus lowering anxiety levels
  • So you won’t burn out as fast

Let’s face it. People’s brains are stressed out. You think about work, about dinner, about relationship troubles and your credit card debt. It’s no wonder more and more people are getting burnt out! So as the ancient adage goes “Take a chill pill” and blank out.

Of course, you need to choose your timing for this since you don’t want to phase out at inappropriate moments. Imagine how awkward a company meeting would be if you did this in the middle of a presentation.

Exercise

Studies have shown again and again how regular exercise improves blood flow, distribution of oxygen and produces happy hormones. You are also better equipped to deal with anxiety if your heart rate is regularly elevated by exercising. Thus, the effects of anxiety are minimised and you can function better throughout the day.

If you’re too busy to go to the gym or jog, you can do the following:

  • Take the stairs whenever you can.
  • Avoid sitting as much as possible.
  • Walk whenever the chance presents itself.
  • Do jumping jacks or squats or stretches when on a break from work.

These options are not ideal of course, but they are better than nothing. On the other hand, scheduling 30-45 minutes of gym time, 3 times a week is enough to provide you with optimum results.

Eat Better

There’s no doubt that eating ice cream or pasta or pizza makes you feel good if you’re feeling depressed. Most people are now programmed to enjoy all that sugar, calories and carbs. However, having a properly functioning body is also great for dealing with stress. Experts would actually agree that it would be preferable.

And what leads to a properly functioning body? Well, we already covered exercise. So the only thing remaining would be healthy food. Here’s why:

  • Eating healthy is guilt-free.
  • Proper nutrition means less fatigue, sickness and, you guessed it, stress!
  • Weight loss through healthy eating results in an increase in self-esteem!

Go ahead and eat a piece of tasty, choco moist cake, with sweet shaved chocolate for toppings and a nice, fudgy core. You like it, you love it! And then, you hate yourself because now you just added fat to your body.

Seriously, why would you put yourself through that if you have better alternatives? For sugar rush, you can turn to fruits and juices or even dark chocolate with over 70% cocoa content. For caffeine, you can drink tea or drink black coffee with coconut sugar or Agave syrup.

Organize

Most people hate getting organised because they think that it requires more work. But when your schedule is cluttered, you keep forgetting appointments and you’re basically making a mess of things, how is that not more work?

Just try the following and see how it goes:

  • Use a spread sheet to organise tasks.
  • Have post-it’s for reminders.
  • Have a calendar and mark out important dates.
  • Cross off tasks that you completed.

It might take some getting used to, but after a while, you will see how much better being organised is. You know exactly what to do and when to do it. You also feel relief when you see how much you’ve accomplished!

Do you usually sing the blues and harrow over almost everything or letting your health get affected with those anxiety episodes that hinge one’s life for no good? Well although a little amount of anxiety is ‘good’ to keep the lamp burning, but anxiety can seriously turn into a grave mental health condition if not treated during the milder stages. While you can turn your idiot box on to dodge those disturbing thoughts, the situation however might ask for a lot more if anxiety attacks are accompanied along. So, what do we do then?
